Bayer Leverkusen Books Europa League Final Berth
Dominant Display in First Leg Secures Aggregate Victory
Bayer Leverkusen are through to the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League final after securing a 2-0 first-leg victory at Roma.
The German club put in a dominant display at the Stadio Olimpico, with goals from Florian Wirtz and Robert Andrich giving them a commanding lead ahead of the second leg at the BayArena on 9 May 2024.
Leverkusen set a new European unbeaten record of 49 successive games in securing the first-leg victory, and will now be confident of completing the job at home to reach the final.
Roma will need to produce a special performance in the second leg if they are to overturn the deficit and reach the final themselves.
